This is a Royal Crown Derby early 19th Century Hand Painted Soup Tureen, with Lid and Underplate. A two handled bowled tureen, with the matching lid and underplate, is extremely hard to find.In excellent condition considering the age, nearly 200 years old. All hand painted in the desirable Royal Crown Derby Kings pattern. The tureen measures 8" tall overall and 6 1/2" handle to handle. Many small details throughout the piece, such as the handle shaped as a budding flower, make this an extremely desirable piece. My initial listing was correct about the age, describing the tureen as 19th Century. Questions are very welcome as are requests for additional pictures. Note: Early Royal Crown Derby items that are painted by hand can have minor variation in the paint pattern or have small firing flaws occurring during production; this is not considered as "an item not as described".
